About Crush

The crush collective is on a mission…

We’re a group of climbers who got together in 2018 to create a more inclusive and open climbing space. A registered non-profit, Crush survives on donations, grants, fundraising and proceeds from merch sales. If an event has a fee, it’s only to cover the operating costs. We strive to secure funding for our events as much as possible so they can be free or low cost for you.

Our Mission

The Crush Collective is a non-profit climbing group based on Treaty 7 territory, striving to break down barriers for anyone who has experienced gendered oppression. We aim to promote accessibility and create a supportive and welcoming community.

Our Core VALUES

We’re always working to uphold our core values in everything we do, be it clinics, climbing sessions or just meeting you for the first time.

BREAK BARRIERS

If you want to climb, you should be able to. Gender, sexual orientation, skin colour, cost — these should never dictate who can and cannot climb.

BUILD COMMUNITY

We strive to build an inclusive community where people can feel comfortable showing up as themselves and climbing, together.

LEARN & GROW

Crush is about learning and growing through vulnerability. We don’t have all the answers, so we’re constantly striving to grow, learn and share.

HAVE FUN!

Climbing is a lot of things: community, strength, friendship, and above all—fun! Don’t forget to check out the view from the top!
