BIPOC Intro to lead climbing

In partnership with local ACMG guides, Claire Ellick and Zenn Teoh, The Crush Collective is offering a one day BIPOC Intro to lead outdoor rock climbing clinic. This event will take place on August 21st, 8am - 4pm MST.

The one day clinic will take place in Treaty 7 Territory (The Bow Valley). The routes chosen will be introductory level and some top rope experience is required. Please let us know if you have any further questions if you are unsure. Thanks to the support from Onward Up, climbing equipment can also be provided if needed.

We welcome all bodies and the event will be set at a pace to fit everyone's needs. This event is open to individuals who are ages 18+.

The Crush Collective will do your best to make transportation options available for those who are not able to transport themselves.

Participants who register will be emailed a confirmation of attendance prior to the climbing date. This event has been subsidized thanks to the Arc'teryx Outer Peace Grant and fundraising from the Crush Collective.

Please note, as registration is limited, we will be prioritizing registration from individuals who hold additional intersections of identity/face marginalization that influence access to climbing. More details are in the questions below.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION FORM SUBMISSION: Midnight of August 14th. Within a few days of the form closing, we will confirm attendance for all those who have applied. As there are limited spots, filling out this form does not guarantee a spot.

*Note: this event will happen rain or shine.
